Photography by Jana Wagner

There will be some light refreshments and you will be able to talk with and view Jana Wagner’s art work. Get to know Jana Wagner a little more with her biography below.

Jana Wagner, Bloomsburg, PA grew up in town. Her goal at eight years old was to begin horseback riding lessons. Thus began her participation in equine activities as a member of the New England Aside Association & the International Sidesaddle Federation and 4-H programs locally and at the state level. Where ever the horse show was being held, her Dad went and photographed/videotaped the competitions. After receiving her BS in Equine Business Management from Johnson & Wales University, Jana worked in the horse industry from Massachusetts to Virginia with travels to Florida, Canada and Europe. These experiences she recorded photographically.

Jana is the third generation of her family to cultivate an interest in photography. Her father Marlin was photojournalist/freelancer/fine arts photographer. Grandfather Ed Miles was a textile dye chemist/photographer. Both men received honors/recognition for their photographic works.

In September 2013, Jana had a successful show of her photographs at Center Street Cafe in Bloomsburg. The exhibit titled, “In the Moment,” featured natural settings and assorted animals. in addition, Jana has honed her skills in energy healing and is an animal communicator which enhances her eye for that special moment. In November 2013, she received 2nd place overall award in her first juried show with, “Flip A Koi.” In 2015 the photograph, “Ottoby Omein,” received a 2nd place award at the Bloomsburg Fair in the Animal Portrait division. “Toby,” her corgi has long been a subject of much of Jana’s work. Her quarter horse, “Chip,” has joined the ranks and often appears as well.
